A Legacy of Compassionate Care
For over 45 years, the Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) of Florida, has been dedicated to providing exceptional home health services. Our journey began with a vision from our founder, Patricia Quinn Crow, who dreamed of ensuring that patients discharged from the hospital continued to receive quality medical care at home.
The Beginning
In 1976, Patricia Quinn Crow established the first Martin County office for the VNA of Florida. Starting with a modest team of one office manager, one nurse, and one part-time physical therapist, the office conducted 30 home health visits in its first month. This humble beginning marked the start of a mission to bring compassionate care to patients in their own homes.
Expansion and Growth
During the 1980s, Patricia’s son, Donald Crow, took the helm, transitioning from Financial Consultant to CEO. Under his leadership, our services expanded into St. Lucie and Okeechobee Counties in 1983. The 1990s saw further growth with new offices in Pasco County (1996), Hernando County (2000), and Hillsborough County (2001). Today, VNA of Florida operates seven offices, serving over 18 counties across Florida, with the original Martin County office as our corporate headquarters.
Serving Floridians Since 1976
We have been providing home health services to Floridians since 1976. For over 25 years, we have delivered care to Tampa General Hospital patients and the surrounding communities. Our team has a deep understanding of the diverse and complex needs that patients of a Level I Trauma Center may have, ensuring comprehensive and specialized care.
Giving Back to the Community
In 1987, we established the Visiting Nurse Foundation (VNF), our charitable arm funded by donations. VNF supports numerous community projects, such as building handicap-accessible ramps, paying overdue utility bills, providing Thanksgiving meals, awarding nursing scholarships, and operating our mobile medical clinic, the Florence Nightingale Express, which offers free medical care to uninsured and indigent community members.
Leadership and Vision
Jennifer Crow, the granddaughter of Patricia Quinn Crow, currently leads TGH Home Care powered by VNA of Florida as CEO. Since joining the VNA in 2003, Jennifer has held various positions, including Director of Marketing, Executive Vice President, and COO. Under her leadership, we continue to grow and expand, always focused on providing high-quality home health and senior care services.
Partnership with Tampa General Hospital
In 2022, we proudly announced our partnership with Tampa General Hospital (TGH), enhancing our ability to deliver exceptional home health care. This collaboration combines TGH’s renowned medical expertise with our extensive experience in home health services, ensuring our patients receive comprehensive and continuous care.
Commitment to Quality Care
